Holiday Cranberry Centerpiece

So these days I am living vicariously through my mother.  She has time to craft in her retirement so I send ideas to her and she makes them so cute!!

Instructions:
Use any nice glass or crystal bowl you already have for this...or you could even do a taller vase if you wanted.  Then all you need is cranberries & a cute floating candle!

NOTE** For an extra effect crinkle saran wrap in the bottom of the bowl below the cranberries, it will look like ice! I also love how she placed it on the mirror, it really just adds some extra sparkle and draws attention.

Such a cute & cheap holiday centerpiece. Love how it turned out!

Need:
Saran Wrap
Cranberries
Glass Vase/Bowl
Floating Candle

Christmas Centerpiece

My momma is so crafty!  How cute is this littler holiday centerpiece/decor piece she made?  All you need is some icicle ornaments, branches, pinecones & a vase.  She had some trouble because the first branches she had were too flimsy, so make sure your branches are sturdy enough to hang ornaments on them. I love that she used icicle ornaments, but really you could use any kind!

I'm not sure if she got the branches red or spray painted them, but I love it.  You could easily do silver, gold, or another fun color if you wanted too!  I've seen these with christmas lights wrapped within the pinecones too, depending on where you are using it.

DIY Cheap Gift Wrapping

OK, wrapping paper is so dang expensive. This year, I went to home depot and bought a big roll of brown rosin paper! So cheap & you can dress it up. In my opinion, it is even better looking than your standard 5$ a roll paper that only wraps 3 gifts! Home Depot even has it on their website!

Who says everything should be red & green?

Try a fun color! I, personally, love to introduce other colors around the holidays. I love these photos from HGTV as ideas. And they way they did it still looks like it fits the holiday!
